Responsible for beverage sales and service in the station that is assigned to him/her in the dining room. this person should be able to have strong command of the English language combined with good written skills, ability to describe wine and beverage products in a way that is convincing, pleasant and attractive, ability to identify and close on opportunities to increase sales, ability to pair wines with food and, above all, ability to work as a team. Some of his functions are:

  • Ensure all Hotel Operations functions are carried out in compliance with the line’s Environmental Compliance Plan (ECP).
  • Responsible to ensure that all aspects of Responsible Service of Alcohol policies and procedures are both met and adhered to by guests & fellow crew, within his/her designated area of responsibility.
  • Responsible to bring to his/her manager’s attention if a guest has consumed excessive amounts of alcohol.
  • Responsible for promoting and maximizing beverage sales in the assigned workstation.
  • Ensures that all beverages are used and accounted for following company policies and guidelines.
  • Ensures that the wine list is presented to every table and that suggestions are made for alternative revenue generating beverages if the guests do not wish to drink wine.
  • Recommends and suggests after dinner drinks.
  • Ensures that pre-orders are properly placed on the right table or tableside before guests arrive in the dining room.

  • Two years experience in five star hotel/restaurant operations.
